Emma & Alexander’s Elegant Midsummer Marquee Wedding at Belcombe Court
An Elegant Midsummer Marquee Wedding at Belcombe Court
Set against the stunning backdrop of Belcombe Court in Wiltshire, Emma and Alexander’s wedding was a stylish fusion of refined design, literature-inspired details, and classic elegance. Thoughtfully curated and beautifully executed with the help of our good friend Amy from Attabara, every element of their summer celebration reflected their appreciation for timeless style and understated luxury.

A Picturesque Setting At Belcombe Court
Nestled on the edge of Bradford-on-Avon, Belcombe Court is a quintessentially English Georgian estate, surrounded by 60 acres of pristine parkland and enchanting gardens. The venue’s manicured landscapes, historic architecture, and hidden romantic spaces provided a picture-perfect setting for Emma and Alexander’s July marquee wedding.
From the charming Summer House to the characterful 18th-century barn, Belcombe’s versatile spaces allowed for a beautifully fluid multi-day wedding, embracing the changing light and mood as the celebration unfolded.
An Intimate Rehearsal Dinner At Sunset
Emma and Alexander welcomed their closest family and friends with an intimate rehearsal dinner in Belcombe’s tiered garden the evening before the wedding. The golden sunset bathed the scene in warmth as guests dined amongst the pretty gardens. The tables, also styled by Amy at Attabara, seamlessly carried the couple’s vision throughout the weekend’s festivities.
A Ceremony Steeped In Emotion And Meaning
On the wedding day, guests gathered in Belcombe Court’s barn, where Emma’s brother officiated the ceremony. This personal touch made the vows even more significant, adding a layer of warmth and sentiment. A soul choir provided live vocals, elevating the moment with a rich, atmospheric soundtrack, and the barn’s rustic elegance, softened with greenery and floral arrangements in delicate blush pink and cream, was the perfect setting for this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds walked through a cloud of confetti beneath Belcombe’s grand archway before joining their guests for cocktails. They later slipped away for a private legal ceremony at the Summer House, exchanging vows with just their parents as witnesses. Although each ceremony had its own distinct character, both were equally significant and remain cherished highlights of Emma and Alexander’s wedding day.
Natural And Unscripted Couple Portraits
Belcombe’s expansive gardens, historic courtyards, and rolling parkland offered an effortlessly elegant backdrop for their portraits. Instead of a planned shoot, Emma and Alexander opted for a more relaxed approach—walking together through the estate, immersed in the moment. This simple yet powerful choice resulted in portraits that were unposed, organic, and personal, capturing their connection without any distraction or awkwardness.
The couple’s appreciation for literature, classic sophistication, and timeless elegance naturally drew them towards analogue film photography as another way to document their wedding day. The nostalgic charm film added warmth and authenticity, perfectly aligning with their overall vision and style.
A Stylish Marquee Reception And Al Fresco First Dance
The marquee reception, meticulously designed by Attabara, reflected a botanical aesthetic that was the perfect reflection of the surrounding landscape. Soft champagne linens, cascading foliage, and delicate floral arrangements in muted tones created an elevated and inviting dining setting.
A subtle literary influence was interwoven into the details—escort cards resembled bookmarks, while menus were styled as content pages, paying homage to the couple’s love of literature. Even their wedding cake offered a stylish nod to the theme, resembling a stack of all their favourite books.
As evening fell, guests transitioned to an al fresco cocktail hour by the pool, an unexpected yet elegant interlude. With delicious clarified milk punch cocktails, a nod to their favourite from The Connaught, guests enjoyed a small yet stylish pause before the night’s celebrations continued.
From here, an epic live band—flown in by ALR Music and famously known as Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding band—kicked things off, and with cocktails flowing as the sun dipped behind the Wiltshire hills, Emma and Alexander stepped to the pool’s edge for their first dance. When the sun finally set, guests followed the newlyweds back into the barn, where the celebration continued late into the night, fueled by music, (more cocktails), and a lot of laughter!
A Summer Wedding To Remember
Emma and Alexander’s wedding truly celebrated their love story, which is always a pleasure to be a part of. Every carefully curated element—from the intimate garden ceremony to the elegant marquee reception and the unexpected poolside party—came together to create an effortlessly sophisticated and deeply personal weekend-long event.
Thank you, Emma and Alexander, for allowing us to document such an extraordinary celebration. Your wedding was an inspiration, and we are honoured to have captured it for you.
“We cannot thank you enough for capturing our wedding. You were an absolute delight to be around on the day and completely enhanced it for us. These pictures are stunning - our families will also be so happy with them. I particularly love the secret picture and the confetti one in the archway! Can’t wait for the rest - and thank you so much again.” Emma & Alexander Kent-Braham
